## Summary

Study platform for IGCSE students built around how revision actually works: planning, active recall, past papers, and syllabus-specific material.

## Detail

Most students are told to "study harder" when what they really need is a better system. We built StudyPal around active recall, past paper practice, planning, and syllabus-specific content. It was my first real startup, and it taught me a lot about product judgment alongside the technical work.

## Story

### How it started

I was taking a deep learning course in early 2023 and kept thinking the same thing: this should be useful for actual curriculum content, not just generic chat.

### First users

The first prototype took about a month. Friends preparing for IGCSE exams used it first, and their feedback shaped most of the product.

### What worked

Creating our own study resources mattered more than adding fancy features. It gave us better quality control and a clearer point of view.

### What I learned

Automations pushed ops cost close to zero, but the bigger lesson was that users were much better at describing the problem than the solution.
